Interpreting the Brief

     BBC Three and BBC England are collaborating to launch Northern Voices which is the Factual Development Scheme for the North of England. They have asked independent production companies to create a short documentary film with the theme of "Culture in the Digital Age." The target audience for this project is 16-24 year old people as their aim is to engage young people and to encourage people to think about the impact of the digital age on our modern society. My initial thoughts are positive towards this project as I've began to think about what area I want to tackle linked to culture in the digital age. This project will allow me to be more creative.

I will have to overcome my inexperience in regards to the fact that I have never made a documentary before however to combat this I am going to put in time to researching how documentaries are made and look into existing documentaries for inspiration on how I should produce my own documentary. Moreover, I will have to overcome time constraints as I have 2 months to complete this project. To tackle this issue, I will make sure to devote some of my time to a detailed schedule so then I won't inadvertently fall behind.
